The 11th ECS Symposium “Crosstalk between Calcium and Adenine Nucleotides", co-hosted by the SFB1328, which took place in Hamburg from 17th to 19th of September, was a great success, attracting 78 participants from 12 different countries worldwide. The event started with an opening lecture by Wolfgang Junger (University of San Diego, California, USA) entitled "Regulation of immune cells by extracellular ATP" and ended with a closing lecture by Yongjuan Zhao (The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen) entitled "NAD signaling enzymes: the bridge between metabolic cofactor and signaling messenger".
