SFB1328 scientists, headed by A20, just published in Science Advances. Their model revealed an important trade-off affecting the optimal number of cellular branches: a larger number increases local sensing and microenvironmental exploration of directional cues, yet it decreases the efficiency of long-range cellular migration.
