On May 28, 2026, Prof. Guse, spokesperson of SFB1328, visited Hamburg Grammar School Johannes-Brahms-Gymnasium and co-taught four classes (grade 10; about 100 pupils) in gene technology and gene therapy in the context of immune cells and autoimmunity. There were lively discussions with pupils and biology teachers regarding the concepts of gene therapy and its ethical implications. Despite the high number of pupils, teaching was done in a very interactive way which was much appreciated by the pupils.
