As PhDs and MDs students we are concerned about our futures. We get a lot of contact with people working in an academic environment, but academia does not have to be the only alternative in a scientist’s career. Therefore, the SFB 1328 decided to create a symposium to show everybody who’s interested, other options to academia such as the fields of industry, start-ups and authority. We want to know different perspectives on how the daily life in these areas looks like, how people deal with common challenges and useful tips and tricks that can be shared with us.
