A04

This project aims at the further development and the extension of chemical routes for the synthesis of lipophilic, bioreversibly modified and/or photo-caged derivatives of the highly polar second messengers nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (MASTER-NAADP), (2’-deoxy)adenosine diphosphate-5-ribose ((2d)ADPR) and cyclic nucleoside monophosphates (cNMPs). Furthermore, bioinspired membrane-linked, fluorescent and ATP-selective chemosensors for the determination of ATP concentrations at cell surfaces will be developed. Thus, this project will address the central demand of the intracellular delivery and the detection of polyphosphorylated adenosine metabolites.
